Meet Sue

As a child I loved food. I loved to eat. I loved to cook, mainly so I could eat what I cooked. My awareness of nutrition was born in our family kitchen. My belief that good nutrition is foundational to health grew through studying Child Care as a young adult. Here, I learnt how important preconception health of parents is to the health of their future children. Also, a child’s diet can have profound effects on all aspects of their development.

20 years on I had a good job working in a school Library, a fabulous husband and 2 awesome teenage boys. But then, I was challenged by a period of intense stress and my health took a dive. Not liking the direction conventional medicine was taking me, I followed my instincts and took back control of my health. I re-evaluated my life, reduced stress and followed ancestral eating principles. Slowly my body began to heal, I regained my energy and zest for life. I was so amazed by the transformation, not only to my physical health, but my mental health too. I didn’t even know I had anxiety until I didn’t have it any more. My whole life I just thought it was ‘normal’ to feel that way.

I see the decline in human health. I’ve seen how our children’s health through the generations is not what it used to be and this saddens me. I want to make a difference. This lead me to study to become a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with The Nutritional Therapy Association of Australia. I believe that everyone can discover the best version of themselves through eating a Real Food diet.
